Tahoe to Burro Creek, AZ!

Okay, so the last picture is the room my brother got for us! Actually, there were 4 of us, and dear brother got FOUR rooms! I had this one, and it was , oh, probably half the size of my house! Okay, maybe not quite, but it DID have 2 huge televisions, a fireplace, a full kitchen, a jacuzzi bathtub and I got to make use of the gym downstairs and had it all to myself!!

I haven't been to Tahoe in decades, and it was absolutely beautiful. Do I have an awesome brother or what? :)

Then...back to my real life. I've had better days! Got exposed to strep, and yes, my throat feels a little off. And this happens. Busted glass everywhere. Note: Fireplace glass is not the same as woodburning stove glass.


But there's exciting news! I'm heading to Arizona for the RHT field trip to Burro Creek!! After conferences, I'm taking off Saturday in my used truck with sleeping bag, buckets, any tools I can scrounge up and a cooler of food, and heading to the desert.

Desertdweller is hosting an AMAZING rockhound field trip to hunt for all kinds of rock! About 30 rockhounds are meeting at Burro Creek Campground, AZ. 10 hours of driving for me, which is farther than I've ever gone on my own. I think I can do it one day, half fueled by Cheez Its and adrenaline. lol! Meeting people with names like Stoner, Rocklicker, RockHobbit, Sandsman1, puppie96, Mr. Pup, Rallyrocks, Beef, Baz and Freeform!
